Minigames 1.Beetle Mania - You can buy Beetle Mania from a purple Toad, in the Mushroom Kingdom, after Marrymore. The cost is 500 coins, but you also get the Game Boy Color to play it on. Shoot the shells to get points, although if you wait for a lot of shells it can cause a chain reaction which is worth more points. If you get hit by the shells, press A, B, X, or Y repeatedly to regain posture. There are 2 different backgrounds, which differ from file to file. Prizes: None
2. Beetle Race - Once you have beaten Yardovich in Seaside Town you can do the Beetle Race. To get the Beetle Race, you must go to the Beetle Shop in Seaside Town. The Beetle Shop is left of the Armor/Weapon Shop. Pay 100 coins for the Beetle Box and then go back to Booster Hill to do the Beetle Race. To get a Beetle, jump on the barrels or the Snifits to get closer to the Beetle. When under the Beetle, jump and you will have caught it. Take back the Beetles to the Beetle Shop. Scoring: Male Beetle - 50 coin, Female Beetle - 1 coins, and Gold Beetle - 1 Frog Coin.
3.Goomba Thumpin' - In Pipe Vault, go to the area with 6 or 7 pipes. Go down the second to last one. You will now be in an area like the one pictured above. Talk to the Moleville guy and you can play the Goomba Thumpin' game. If you play it, stand in the middle and jump on the Goombas, not the Spikeys. Scoring: Gold Goomba - 2 points, Goomba - 1 point, Spikey: -1 point. Prizes - Flower Tab(+1FP), Flower Box(+5FP), or a Frog Coin.
4.Fortune Telling - In Land's End, you can do Fortune Telling as pictured above. It cost 50 coins for a try, but you can do it as many times as you want. There are some good prizes and some bad. Which prize you get is determined by which order you hit the faces in. Here are the orders to determine which prize you will get: Left-Center-Right: Yoshi Cookie or Mushroom Left-Right-Center: Yoshi Cookie Center-Left-Right: Battle with 3 Chows Center-Right-Left: Battle with 3 Chows and a Shy Away Right-Left-Center: 1 Frog Coin Right-Center-Left: 100 Coins
5.Great Guy's Casino - Great Guy's Casino has 3 different mini games in one. It has a slot machine (treasure box), a game called Look The Other Way, and Blackjack. For the slot machine (treasure box), you have to get either 3 mushrooms, 3 flowers, or 3 stars in a row. If you don't get 3 in a row, you lose Prize: 3 in a row - 1 Frog Coin. For the Look The Other Way game, talk to Great Guy until he asks you if you want to play. To win, you must press left or right on the control pad in the opposite direction of Great Guy. Win 100 times to get the Star Egg( The Star Egg is an item which does 100+ damage to all enemies. The Star Egg can be used infinite times, which makes it a good item to have). Prize: 100 wins - Star Egg. The last mini game is Blackjack. To win you must get a higher number than the dealer without going over 21. If you lose, you lose 1 Frog Coin. Prize: 1 Frog Coin
6.Marrymore Bellhop - In Marrymore, you can stay in the Inn(The building with the spinning stars). Talk to the guy and stay in which room you want. When you are in your room, you can go to sleep by pressing A by the mushroom lamp. For every night you stay extra, the guy will charge you 100 coins. if you are broke at any time during those extra nights, he will make you work as a Bellhop to pay off your debt. Occasionally, you can get some prizes. Prizes: Possibly can get Flower Jars(+3FP) or Flower Boxes(+5FP) as a tip
7.Melody Bay - In Tadpole Pond, go to right as far as you can. Go into the next area and you will be at Melody Bay. Here you can take music lessons from Toadofski, or you can make music by jumping on the tadpoles. Here are the orders of the songs you need to play: Prize: Juice Bar Cards to use at the far left of Tadpole Pond
8.Moleville Mine Cart - After defeating Punchinello, you have to take a mine cart ride with Dyna and Mite. You can get a lot of coins here. After you have done this ride, you can climb to the top of the mountain and pay coins to do the ride again. You can also wager some coins so you can get double if you beat the time record. (Note* If you get a mushroom, you can go faster by using it with X). Prizes: Double the Wagered Coins if time is beaten
9.Midas River - After beating Kero Sewers, you have to take a ride down the Midas River. After this is complete, a guy at the end will give you the Knock -Knock Shell. If you got over 60, 70, or 80 coins, the guy will give you a Frog Coin for 60 coins and will hold the rest till you do the Midas River again. Prizes: 1 Frog Coin per 60 regular coins
10.Mushroom Derby-Boshi Race - After you beat Pipe Vault, You can go to Yo'ster Isle. Once there, talk to the green Yoshi. He will ask you to saddle up. Say yes and jump on him. Talk to a pink Yoshi that's standing still and say yes that you can beat Boshi. He will give 3 Yoshi Cookies. Bring them to Boshi and he will race you 1-on-1. Toad will then appear and ask if you want to practice. (Note* This race is very hard to win. It is recommended that you practice). To win you have to alternate by pressing A and B with the beat. In the race, if you press Y, you will eat a cookie and go really fast. You can do this 3 times. Prize: The Other Yoshis can race. You can bet Yoshi Cookies on Yoshi
11.Mushroom Derby - Once you have beaten Boshi 1-on-1, You can go to the bottom of the island and talk Boshi. He will tell you what Yoshi's odds are of winning. You can bet Yoshi Cookies on only Yoshi. You can either watch Yoshi or race him like the 1-on-1 with Boshi. It is easier to win by watching Yoshi. You can bet up to 10 Yoshi Cookies. If you need to store some, go to the pink Yoshi who gave you the Yoshi Cookies and he will store up to 200. Prize: Double the Yoshi Cookies Betted if Yoshi wins
12. Sergeant Flutter's Cliff - When going to Bean Valley, you are required to climb the cliff with the help of Sergeant Flutter and his Paratroopas. After you are done, he will give you your time. You can now do this mini game whenever you want. Prizes: Your Time is between 12:00 and 14 seconds - 33% chance of getting a Frog Coin, Your Time is between 11:49 and 12:00 seconds - Troopa Pin, Your Time is under 11:49 seconds - 5 Frog Coins
13. Sky Bridge - In Land's End, you have to cross Sky Bridge. The shaman will ask you what difficulty you want. Easy gives you 5 coins, Medium gets you 8, and hard gets you 1 Frog Coins. In easy Bullet Bills are fired at you. In medium, Bullet Bills are fired and the platforms fall. In hard Bullet Bills are fired faster and the platforms fall faster. Prizes: 5 coins, 8 coins, or 1 Frog Coin (Depends on Level of Difficulty) |
